ALASKA GOLD PANNING DAY TOUR

Learn to pan for Gold, our tours of old gold mining relics of the area are just,a short hike and will give you an insight into the early day gold miners life.  Hear what mining life was like from a real gold miner. The Krutzsch family has mined the area for over 20 years. You will leave with some gold you have panned yourself.  You will have a greater appreciation of what trials and tribulations the Gold Rush Miner endured to extract the precious metal from the earth to eke out a living in a frozen land.  Allow at least 2 hours for the  tour. ALASKA GOLD PANNING BY THE DAY

Gold pan by the day.  Don’t leave before you have panned for gold on your own.  If you have an extra day,  try panning for the day. We include a lesson in the art of panning.  Take some time and do some gold panning, take the gold home with you. This is a chance to see what kind of skill you have in panning for gold and keeping it in your pan. Guaranteed gold in every pan.  Open June 15, to September 15.  No reservation needed.  Walk ins welcome.

$300.00 Day rate  $2,275.00 by week with accommodations.

Sluice for a day with your own shovel fed high bank sluice box on proven ground located at the head of Anvil Creek. You will be surprised what you will find. Open June 15, to September 15.Akau has high banker available for rent at $100.00 per day which includes gas. BRING YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT or Rent: Take this full day or stay with us for the week for $2275.00 includes 2 home cooked meals per day.Non refundable deposit of $800.00 will hold your reservation for this package.

One week (7 days, 6 nights) stays available from June 15, until September 15. You will be able to pan for 1 week and take home all the gold you find. We will be accepting $800.00( Non-refundable)deposits to reserve one weeks stay with us. The remainder of the balance due must be received no later than 30 days prior to your date of arrival. Open June 15, to September 15. One week stay includes 2 home cooked meals. Sandwiches for lunch.

 

Package	ALASKA METAL DETECTING 1 DAY
$350.00	Experienced detectors:  If spending just a  few days here, you will want to take  this package. Spend the day metal detecting and take home some nuggets. A 50/50 split on all nuggets 1/8 of an oz. or over will be required by Nome Gold on Anvil Creek tailings.  Read the info. on Metal Detecting below.  We are open from June 15, to September 15.

ALASKA METAL DETECTING WEEK

ATTENTION METAL DETECTORS:  Akau is expanding to include Anvil Creek tailings.  A lease agreement between Nome Gold & Akau has made it possible for Akau to offer the opportunity to detect the tailings on Anvil Creek, which is known for the discovery of gold & the reason Nome is on the map.  The creek is known to have given up some of the largest nuggets ever found including a 163 oz. & a 183 oz. nugget.  Akau will be using heavy equipment to spread the tailings & clear the area until we are satisfied the area has been thoroughly worked. Our testing of the area during 2012 brought forth many nuggets in a very short time.  Our agreement with Nome Gold is for a 50/50 split of all gold #4 mesh & above.  We are very excited & believe there will be some large nuggets found that will put Akau on the map as a premier location for metal detectors.   We are accepting $800.00 (Non-refundable) deposits to reserve one weeks stay with us. Package:	ALASKA ATV RENTAL WEEK
$500.00	Rent an ATV to travel to and from the workings if you are staying for a week. This is offered only to those who are staying with us. ATV comes with a full tank of gas. Gas will be available for sale at the price it is at the pumps if you want to take a trip about the area.  Cash only for the gas refills. We will require a deposit against any loss or damage to the equipment.
