Embark on a nature outfitter adventure with Alaska Gold & Resort. Our all-inclusive week-long gold prospecting package offers an unforgettable experience amidst the stunning Seward Peninsula landscapes of tundra and Bering Sea. We are open mid-June to mid-September, with arrival on Friday and departure on Thursday.

 

Discover the perfect blend of wilderness and comfort in our unique accommodations, from the cozy lodge or cabins, all the while enjoying home cooked meals and entertainment in the Great Room. We offer full room and board for up to 25 clients each week. 

 

Activities vary throughout the season and may include fishing, ATV & van historical and cultural tours, visit an ocean dredge, Midnight Sun Festival, 4th of July parade, musical performances, beach glass trips, crafting, kayaking, souvenir shopping, and much more. Our staff will shuttle you between the Alaska Airlines Nome Terminal and Alaska Gold & Resort.

Alaska Gold & Resort is co-owned by mother (Betty Krutzsch-Johnson) and son (Augie Krutzsch). The Krutzsch Family mined their claims near Nome, Alaska for many years under the name of Krutzsch Mining. Having a foundation and history in gold and love for Alaska, Augie followed his passion to carry on his family's legacy to provide a rare opportunity for visitors to experience not only the beauty of the landscape and tundra, but also give guests a real testament into the historic past of Nome, Alaska.

Augie decided on the name AKAU to represent exactly what his family's legacy is about, Alaska Gold.
